Keyboard Warriors, Everywhere.

This topic may have or may not been posted, I can't remember, anyway as the title says there has been a fair bit of news recently about women being allowed to be topless in public. The argument for it is that men can do it absolutely fine, but women can't because they are overly sexualized. What are your thoughts? |

Keyboard Warrior 1. A Person who, being unable to express his anger through physical violence (owning to their physical weakness, lack of bravery and/or conviction in real life), instead manifests said emotions through the text-based medium of the internet, usually in the form of aggressive writing that the Keyboard Warrior would not (for reasons previously mentioned) be able to give form to in real life. 2. Keyboard Warriors are generally identified by unneccessary rage in their written communications, and are regarded as 'losers' by other virtual identities on the internet. | |

Women's boobs are sexual, men's pecs aren't so much. There are reasons why we have evolved to keep our sexual organs hidden from view. So no I don't agree that it's fine. |

Nobody should walk around topless unless you're on the beach. That includes men. |

I wouldn't mind it, so long as there isn't a subsequent law like "any male who stares at a female's bare chest for longer than a [total] period of 15 seconds shall be fined $250" or something overly duck balls like that. |

I'm no biology expert (shocking, I know), but I get the feeling that a big reason men are so obsessed with boobs is because they're always hidden. There's no reason we should be attracted to them from an evolutionary standpoint, since they're purpose is for babies. There's not really a difference from their nose, or hands. Or maybe I'm completely wrong, but I know there's places where being topless is more socially acceptable, and thus men don't see them as a big deal. Problem is that they have now being so secret for so long, and put into our heads so much that they're sexual, that even if that was the case, we couldn't just flick a switch and not be attracted to them. Even if men weren't supposed to be sexually attracted to boobs naturally, it is how we ended up in many countries, so it'd take along time before it could be seen as normal as a man going topless. |

And then you'd have people complaining over teenage boys popping a boner every two seconds like it's 100% their fault they experience sexual attraction. Then there's comparing our culture to tribes and stuff which...aren't our culture. Not to mention it's not like we know everything about these cultures that do allow it, how do we know they're not full of crazy sexual goings on? People act like it's all based around innocence and purity when they might well feel exactly the same as us about breasts, maybe the women are forced to be topless so the men can enjoy the view, as if they would just openly say that. Just because they live in mud huts and stuff doesn't mean they're stupid. Men are "obsessed" with boobs because we're designed to be, same as how most species have something that attracts them to the opposite sex. |

Actually we are not ''designed'' to be, we are taught to be, other primates and humans etc living in tribal scenarios where there is nothing taught about women having to hide themselves away don't give a s*** about it, I am not saying this because I am for topless women, but your statement is just plain incorrect. |

Boobs are just mounds of flesh, but that imagination that comes from them being covered up makes a world of difference. |

if their purpose is for nurturing children then it makes sense that breasts being sexualised has evolutionary origins since the things men to find attractive are things that hint at fertility. ofc, that would just be towards breasts in general. im sure there are a dozen things that affect people's breast preferences. |

You evolved to have your sexual organs hidden from view?! Mine are dangling between my legs. Anyway, why are there tribes in Africa where the women go topless and find tits completely non-sexual? Are you saying they didn't evolve properly? Edited by Ding, Sep 3 2015, 10:10 PM.

I meant socially of course. And that is a misnomer. They still find breasts sexual, they just aren't pervs about it. |

Meh, it's whatever. To me it's just a boob, sure it might arouse me or someone else. But I frankly don't care, I myself am not going to go groping women all of a sudden because they're topless. If someone does, then they're likely to go to jail. This would give women the choice to go topless right? Then they're not all being forced to, only the ones that want to. If people aren't comfortable with being topless they can still wear a top. |
